Saturday the Sixteenth

Today I slept in until 11:30, moseyed around and headed to the library for - you guessed it! - the free wireless. Did the Internet thing for a bit and then met Ingeborg for lunch at 2. We chatted about this, that and the other and ate at a food court in the Queen Street Mall. On the way we say people sitting atop the big silver no-idea-what-they-are-for-if-anything-at-all balls:

We saw a mime:

We also saw some cork hats that remind me of Mandy Nurrenburn (the girl who got me interested in Studying Abroad here, way back when during my freshmen year at Purdue). These ones are corny joke versions but Mandy's was made with real cork wood and you dip it in something and it'll keep the mosquitos and bugs out of your face:

and we saw a Charlie Chaplin guy who was really funny! He leaned on me:

He hugged and stared at me:

And, finally, took a semi-normal photo with me, haha:

I'll remember next time I wear that green jacket that I look horrid when I stuff a camera case and money into my pockets, haha - yuck!

It was a fun afternoon with Inge. We walked back to my apartment since she might be making a deal with Nick about moving in to take his place for whatever reason - I'm not sure why he's moving out. I guess he's just been here to travel and is ready to head back home? Any way, after that we walked back to the City so I could try to set up my BlackJack - no luck with the code Mom was given (trying to double check because the codes are different for each model), and she went to do some shopping. Now I'm back online to upload this, check Facebook, haha, and I might be purchasing a book, too.

Tonight I begin my koala sketch - really, haha. I'll dig into my novel some more and take it easy. Not sure what I'm doing for dinner yet. I suppose it's time I hit Coles for some real food. Tomorrow's laundry day, ugh. Signing off for now!
