Today

This is pretty interesting. My dad has been really into photography these last several years and shot some school photos of us kids. My mom has always cut the hair of the men in the family. Here is an email I received from my mom this morning:

I'm a professionally featured hairstylist:

HAHAHAHAH LOLOLOLOL
Guess you probably heard that one of Dad's pictures of Chucky made it into a men's hairstyle web-page. But do you realize that I'm the one that cut Chucky's hair? That means I'm a pretty good stylist, Huh?

Today I had my Australian Culture & Society final exam. I feel really good about it, and I'd darned well better feel good about it since I studied my butt off from Friday until this morning. I am not exaggerating when I say that I only ate, slept, ran or read outside of all of my studying. No laying out (granted it was rainy all week, but that kept me to the books), no visiting the parks, no watching movies, no partying (well, I did make an appearance Friday night - I had to since the party was at my own house)... I was such a good little student. Any way, goes to show that hard work pays off (assuming I get a good mark in the class). As a reward for my efforts I am going to see Ironman tonight. Adam and Inga have both had good things to say about it. Plus, I am going to the movies by myself. Ha. I am not afraid! Plus, I get to enjoy all the popcorn goodness, hehe!

THIS JUST IN: Ironman shall be seen another night. Why? Tonight the house is watching Titanic and The Notebook. Chick Flick Night? Exactly. Again, why? As I was cleaning the kitchen (it's my week to make sure it's clean before Thursday's cleaners arrive), Richard starts making dinner and starts watching whatever is on the TV. Whatever is on the TV happens to be a show feature the Top 20 Women Films (aka, Top 20 Chick Flicks). So Richard is snared in by the bubbly movie reviews and comments, then Sam (the biggest guy in the house, a rugby player, a guy who can pulp anyone in his way if he so chooses) joins Richard and they are both intrigued by this Top 20 list. I finish the dishes and retreat to write this entry when Inga knocks on the door exclaiming something about Richard and Sam going to get movies. Before she gets the whole sentence out I've figured out what's going on: Richard and Sam have been inspired to have a Chick Flick night. I'm not kidding, haha. It's quite humorous. And so tonight I will watch some girly movies. Actually, I was just thinking today how I'd like to see Titanic sometime soon.

Here's to Pretty Woman, Bridget Jones' Diary, etc., etc.!

-Amanda
